Camping Love!

Last weekend, we took a family camping trip to a campground that was new to us - Jellystone Luray.  We had a big group join in for the fun and it was fantastic - the best camping trip so far!  Great campground, great friends and just an overall GREAT time!  We're so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family.  Including were Mom and Robby, Chris and Jessica and the twins, the Stierle family and the Townsend family. The kids all got along so well, and there was plenty to do for everyone.  It wasn't the warmest, sunniest weekend but that didn't matter!  Of course, renting a couple of golf carts for the weekend only added to the fun of campfires, jumping pillow, hay rides, swimming, fishing, golfing, mining for crystals, laser tag and cooking in the great outdoors. We all came home filthy and exhausted but it was worth it!

Zootastic!

Two weeks ago, Dylan and I were treated to a very special night.  My dear friend Ronda had two extra tickets to the Zoofari event at the National Zoo.  Its a very special night, when the Zoo closes to the public and all the best area DC restaurants set up fancy tents and sample delectable foods. There is live music, and lots of special viewings of the animals.  We met Ronda and her friend, and it was so much fun for Dylan - even more so since it was on a school night!  Here are a few photos of the night.  Dylan said repeatedly how much fun he had, and that he couldn't wait to go to school the next day to tell all of his friends!

time with Grandma

The Monday after Mother's Day is always Grandparents Day at our school (the school Dylan attends, not Logan's school).  My Mom always attends and loves the program the kids put on. They spend time in the classroom, eat lunch together and have a photographer on hand to snap poses of the kids with their grandparents.  Its such a fun, special day for everyone!

Iron Pigs

Our spring is just flying by, and whaddayouknow, its almost the end of the school year.  Just over one week to go!  We've been going from baseball game to party to picnic to swim practice, which started this week.  We also took a big camping trip which I'll dedicate another post.

At the beginning of May, Grandma Bobbie and Grandpa Joe came for a visit and got to see Logan play two baseball games.  The passion Logan has for baseball is so much fun to watch.  He really has some great skills, and he's scored some doubles and lots of runs this season.  He has two more games this week to close out the season.  Its been great fun getting to know some of the other families.  I think we're going to have him play again this fall!

Logan also started collecting baseball cards this spring and already has quite a large binder full of them, all categorized by team, league, etc.  He's excited to get to attend little league day at the Washington Nationals stadium next weekend and parade around the field before the game!  Here he is showing off his card collection.
