long weekend

Last year, we spent Memorial Day weekend at the lake house, soaking up the sun, licking popsicles and tubing behind the boat. Look how little Logan was! Wow, you don't realize how much they grow until you look at old photos. This year, we're staying home but have a full agenda line-up:

• Black Sheep at Friday Night Live
• no soccer at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday - hooray we can sleep in (Logan, do you hear that?)
• planting some new things in the garden including Silver Queen corn, cucumbers and zuchinni
• shopping for flowers for out front
• two different BBQ's where the kids can run amok, getting dirty and playing with friends, and we can enjoy some adult beverages, conversation and tasty treats
• neighborhood pool opening
• perhaps taking in some great fireworks at the neighborhood summer kick off party
